Caryll Warner
VIOLINIST
Caryll Warner is a distinguished violinist from Tobago who performs with and directs a variety of vocal and instrumental ensembles. She has received several awards from the Tobago House of Assembly and the Trinidad and Tobago Biennial Music Festival in recognition of her musical excellence.
Among her notable performances, Caryll played at the Inauguration of the fifth President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, His Excellency Anthony Carmona, in 2013. She has also been featured at the Tobago Jazz Festival in 2012 and 2013, sharing the stage with the Caribbean’s renowned saxophonist Arturo Tappin.
In 2016 and 2017, she headlined her own production, Kalalloo Royale, presenting a vibrant repertoire that blended jazz, calypso, and Caribbean folk music. Her international appearances include performances at the Afro Arte Festival in Colombia and at Brooklyn Borough Hall, New York, during the 52nd Anniversary of Trinidad and Tobago’s Independence celebrations.
Caryll is a former member of the Trinidad and Tobago National Philharmonic Orchestra, the East Central Indiana Chamber Orchestra, and the Ball State Symphony Orchestra. She currently maintains an active career as both a performer and music educator.
She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music from the University of Trinidad and Tobago and a Master of Arts in Music Education from Ball State University.
