Terri Lyons is a multi-talented, multi-faceted entertainer; a well-known and accomplished songstress, dancer, model, actress, designer, and songwriter. Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Terri began performing at the tender age of 7 years old and, as such, began her journey into what has become an impressive career thus far. Her drive to reach the pinnacle of her profession has led her to cultivate her talents into the artist that she is today.

As the daughter of the seven-time Trinidad and Tobago Soca Monarch winner, Austin “Super Blue” Lyons, and part of a very talented family of entertainers, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Supported and inspired by her father and many other influences, she began utilizing the experiences and knowledge gained to make great strides in and out of music.

Miss Lyons has garnered many accomplishments thus far in her years in entertainment. Here is a short list of her accomplishments thus far: -

  • 2025 - Honoured for her Outstanding Contribution to the preservation and promotion of Calypso Music by the Couva Carnival Committee
  •  Reigning QUEEN OF QUEENS (Queen of the Caribbean) 2022, 2023, 2024
  • 2020 - Crowned National Calypso Monarch, the 5th woman to ever win it since 1939, and reigned for 3 years.
  • Won the best song of the year 2020
  • Better Tomorrow: Winner in the Music Video Category of Rotterdam Independent Film Festival 2022
  • Ministry of Sports and Community Development Award- Outstanding Contribution in the Field of Culture 2022.
  • Landed the role of Lead actress in the locally produced movie “Queen of Soca”.
  • Queen of Soca was chosen to be played in the launch of Carifesta 2019 festivities.
  • Winner of the title Best Local actress at the 2010 Film Festival Awards for “No Soca No Life”
  • Placed 4th at the Calypso Monarch Competition in 2017
  • Finalist at the 2017 Soca Monarch
  • Placed 2nd at the NJACC Young Queens’ Competition in 2006
  • Placed 2nd at the NJACC Young Queens’ Competition in 2007

She has also collaborated with many artists on the world stage, such as: -
Grammy award winner Beenie Man on “Can’t stop moving and winning the Calypso Monarch in 2020.
Performing with Kes the Band throughout the 2020 Carnival Season in Trinidad and Tobago.

Terri Lyons has been traveling extensively throughout North America, the UK, and the Caribbean, performing from since 2003 to present cultivating her talent. Currently, she is the lead vocalist in the all-female band “SASS” but is also known to perform as solo act. Besides performing, Terri does charitable work under her Terri Lyons Still Here Foundation.
